Who You Are:
- An ambitious, hard-working, motivated insurance professional with a high level of integrity.
- Your attention to detail is outstanding and you want autonomy in your work.
- You love working with customers, yet you know how to handle insurance company underwriters.
- YOU HAVE TWO YEARS MINIMUM PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE EXPERIENCE.
- You have excellent oral and written skills and instill a positive outlook in all relationships and activities.
- You are up to speed on technology: office, database, and agency management systems (e.g. AMS Prime, Applied, and PS4).
- You have the ability to quickly learn markets, systems, and new fields. You have a mind naturally curious, an interest in insurance education, and have a property and casualty license in California or the willingness to obtain one.
- You have strong organizational skills and the ability and desire to grow.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Insurance, or related field preferred.
What You Will Do:
- Market new and renewal business including the gathering of loss runs and other submission documents, scanning and distribution of information to underwriters, and follow up for quotes.
- Daily client services including coverage inquiries, issuing certificates, and claims.
- Maintenance of agency management data including client, policy, and application information.
- Follow up for requirements of binding, policy and endorsement issuance, checking for accuracy and delivery of documents to clients.
- Preparation of proposals, summaries, invoices, premium finance agreements, etc.
